Bluecroft Finance, the Altrincham-based short-term bridging lender, is pleased to announce the appointment of Shaun Bains as Head of Credit.
Shaun brings over a decade of specialist bridging and short-term finance experience to the role, having held senior positions at some of the UK’s most recognised lenders. Most recently, Shaun served as Head of Bridging Underwriting at a major short-term lending institution, where he led underwriting operations and sat on the credit committee. Prior to this, he spent over six years at Masthaven Bank Limited, rising to the position of Underwriting Manager for Bridging. He has also held a senior role at Shawbrook Bank, one of Bluecroft’s own funding partners.
Throughout his career, Shaun has managed teams of up to 13 people and has extensive experience sitting on credit committees — bringing a level of seniority and credibility that will strengthen Bluecroft’s credit function as the business continues to scale
Ross Gandy, Head of Sales at Bluecroft Finance, commented:
“Shaun’s appointment is a real statement of intent for us. To bring in someone with his depth of experience — across underwriting, credit committee, and team leadership at household names in our sector — is a huge addition to the business. Brokers and borrowers can have absolute confidence that their cases are in expert hands. We’re delighted to have him on board.
Shaun joins at an exciting period of growth for Bluecroft Finance, which provides bridging loans from £75,000 to £3,000,000 across residential and commercial property, backed by Hampshire Trust Bank and Shawbrook.
Outside of work, Shaun is a committed Arsenal supporter, a regular at the gym, and dedicates much of his spare time to managing his son’s football team.
